Sofia at the Beach {Orange County, CA Children's Photographer}

This little doll wasn't too into having her pictures taken this particular afternoon, but as soon as we took a break (especially when we were finished and walking back to the car) she was as happy as can be.  The beach was slammed with other photographer's groups, so we all had to dodge one another (typical for this time of year at the good beaches).  Regardless, everything worked itself out and we got some great shots!

I absolutely love this picture of Sofia handing sand to her dad.

The Dad was such a trooper for this shoot... he came along even though he was cursed with some stomach bug, and we managed to get at least one family photo :)  Love this family, year after year!

Maija's Baby Bump {Orange County, CA Maternity Photographer}

This shoot was especially fun for me because Kellan (Maija's husband) and I went to Park City High School (in Utah) together many years ago.  It doesn't hurt that Maija might as well be a maternity model... pregnancy looks so good on her!  They've recently moved to Orange County and I'm so excited to be able to document this amazing part of life for them.  Looking forward to meeting their daughter when she decides to arrive!

With Kellan being a soccer player and Maija a basketball player, I couldn't resist :)

Newborn Jack {Aliso Viejo, CA Newborn Photographer}

This shoot would have been a hands-down dream if I didn't throw my back out just as I was getting started!  Seriously, I feel like I'm getting so old! I squatted down to take one of the first shots and my back went out - I couldn't even stand up for a few minutes and Leanne (the mom) was so sweet grabbing me water and Advil and a pad to kneel on for the rest of the shoot :)  Thank goodness Jack was one of the sweetest, sleepiest babies and he didn't require much cajoling to fall asleep.
